How often?

Having clean and healthy hair doesn't mean you have to wash it every day. Repeated too often, shampooing can weaken the hair and scalp and counteract the benefits of hair care. Although you shouldn't shampoo daily, there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to hair care. Your own schedule? Shampoo only when your hair is dirty. Your ideal schedule depends on your own hair and your lifestyle. For the best results, shampoo one to three times maximum per week, using a gentle shampoo enriched with natural extracts.

Bonus: for the easiest shampoo schedule, use Aromachologie Revitalising Fresh Shampoo. Combining mint, thyme, grapefruit, cedar and lavender essential oils with plant-based vinegar, it restores life to your locks. Results? Hair that's revitalised and a scalp that's refreshed for the long-term.

The right technique?

Washing your hair well requires a few simple techniques. To start, wet your hair thoroughly with warm water, then apply a small amount of shampoo to your hair, according to how long it is. Then, gently massage your scalp, working in circles to boost circulation. Make sure to massage gently to avoid stimulating excess oil production. Finally, rinse by sliding your fingers from the roots to the ends of your hair to protect the cuticles, until all the lather and residue are gone. Tips? At the end of the rinse, use cold water to boost shine.

Bonus: choose a shampoo for your hair type. Repairing for very dry hair, Body & Strength for fragile hair, Radiance & Colour Care for colour-treated hair, there's a L'Occitane product tailored to your needs. Try them to find the one that best cares for your hair.

The best routine?

Daily hair care is not just about shampoo. After showering, take time to apply a conditioner on damp hair, avoiding the roots to prevent them from becoming greasy too quickly. Left on for about 5 minutes, then rinsed, this is perfect for gentle detangling, preferably with a natural bristle brush. At least once a week, swap your conditioner for a 15-minute moisturising mask. A real fountain of youth, it deeply revitalises your hair.

Bonus: to maintain the benefits of Aromachologie Hair Mask, make sure to let your hair dry naturally. Finally, apply a few drops of Aromachologie Repairing Hair Oil before styling, to protect and visibly enhance your hair.
